HTC HD mini

The HTC HD Mini is a pocket-friendly smartphone. It is powerful, has a solid design and the friendly Sense UI. Check its main features and make an opinion:

On the front side the HD Mini has a big ear piece speaker with a LED for notifications on its left and at the bottom of the screen it has five touch sensitive controls: answer call, home, menu, back and hang call. On the left side it has the volume keys. On the upper side of the phone we can see the power button and the 3.5mm jack. On the bottom it has the microUSB slot.

The display type is an ordinary TFT one with 65k colors and with a 3.2 inches diagonal. It supports a resolution of 320 x 480 and a pixel density of 180ppi. It supports multitouch and it is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. In sun light it doesn’t impress but indoors it has nice colors. The phone measures 103 x 57.7 x 11.7mm and weighs 110g.

At connectivity it has EDGE speed in 2G mode up to 236 Kbps and in 3G mode it has HSDPA up to 7.2 Mbps and HSUPA up to 2 Mbps. The Wi-Fi connection supports b/g protocols and Wi-Fi Router, Bluetooth is version 2.1 with A2DP and the microUSB is v2.0. The browser has HTML support and it is running quite good.

The HD Mini has a 5MP camera sensor which takes nice pictures with good quality and colors. It features autofocus, geo-tagging and touch focus. Video recording is made at 30 fps and has VGA resolution. It has many other options like ISO, panorama white balance and others in the settings menu.

On the Qualcomm MSM7227 is has the 600 MHz ARM 11 processor and the Adreno 200 GPU. It has 384 Mb of RAM and 512 Mb of ROM. The OS is Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.5.3 Professional. The phone has accelerometer and proximity sensors. It has an integrated GPS with A-GPS support and stereo FM radio with RDS. It comes only in one color which is black.

The 1200 mAh battery can keep the phone on for about two days of normal use. It has a standby time of 340 hours and 6 hours and 40 minutes in talk time.
