LG Optimus L3, low budget phone

LG Optimus L3

The LG Optimus L3 is a low budget smartphone, probably the best one. It was launched in January 2012.

Now you don’t have to worry no more for internal memory, because the Optimus L3 is a low-end smartphone which has 1GB storage. It also has 512 ROM and 384 RAM and with the 800MHz processor and Adobe Flash support you can you can play almost what game you want from Play Store. The GPU is the all known Adreno 200 which appears on many low budget smartphones. The memory can be expanded up to 32GB with a microSD card.

The Optimus L3 is powered by Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread. I think it’s the best android device when it comes to battery. It managed to stay alive for 5 days with normal use without even connecting the charger or make USB connections. The battery has 1500 mAh which is more than enough for the phone display. It has GPS with A-GPS support, SNS integration, FM radio with RDS and HTML5 browser with Adobe Flash support. It also has proximity, light, compass and accelerometer sensors.

The 3.2 inches display has a low resolution 230×320 pixels as well a low pixel density 125 ppi. But unlike other low-end smartphones this one supports multitouch. It has a capacitive TFT screen with 256k colors. L3 has only 110g and 102.5×61.5×11.9 mm. It’s a bit thick.

At connectivity it has a decent download speed on 3G HSDPA mode: 3.6 Mbps. It has Wi-Fi b/g/n with Hotspot and DLNA. Bluetooth is version 3.0 with A2DP and USB connection is made by a microUSB slot.

Camera is a decent one, it has 3.15 MP and has geo-tagging. Video recording is VGA at 24 fps.

The Optimus L3 was designed to compete with the Galaxy Y and it managed with success to beat it. It has many things over the Galaxy Y and over any other smarphone in its class. Finally LG has made something good. I ask myself: “LG doesn’t sees that they are good at making low budget smartphone? Why are they still trying to make high end phones because they could conquer the low-end market”?

Conclusion. The LG Optimus L3 is the best choice on the market if you want a very cheap smartphone. It is small and cute and knows to do many things, it has good internal memory (other phones don’t have that much), what should I say more, it is good is very good at its price. Go for it if you are in a tight budget.
